Here, comes why it was important to do this? Why is social distancing important to control the spread of coronavirus?

Social Distancing

Our PM laid great importance to the term “SOCIAL DISTANCING”.

Wikipedia says: “Social distancing or physical distancing is a set of infection control actions intended to stop or slow down the spread of a contagious disease“.

Importance of Social Distancing

COVID-19 spreads at a very high rate. According to WHO it took 67 days for the number of coronavirus affected persons to reach 1 lakh in the world. After that additional 1 lakh got infected in a matter of 11 days and another 1 lakh got infected in just 4 days.

This stats shows how contagious this virus is.

Hence, we all have to follow social distancing to break this human to human transmission chain.

We as a country have to be together more than ever in these tough times and SOCIAL DISTANCING is the least we can do to safeguard ourselves and others.
